Who We Are

Italian Heritage Citizenship (IHC), was started as a labor of love, born out of our personal experiences and passions while getting Italian citizenship in Italy. If you have Italian heritage and are interested in obtaining dual Italian citizenship in the shortest and most adventurous way possible, then we are here to ensure your success. 

In 2024 I obtained my Italian passport after being recognized as an Italian citizen in November 2023 while we were living in Italy. This recognition by the Italian government took only 9 months after my application was submitted.

If you are in a position to temporarily (or permanently) relocate to Italy and apply for Italian citizenship via your heritage (known as jure sanguinis or right of blood), while having an incredible cultural experience, or if you want to apply from your home or file an Italian court case, we can provide you with all of the information and guidance needed.

Ciao amici! My name is Marco Martella. I'm a proud dual US/Italian citizen that is passionate about Italian culture and the best food in the world. My late father was a 1st generation Italian-American. I was able to get my Italian citizenship, via heritage thru my Italian grandparents, while living in Italy. In their honor, this was one of the greatest adventures of our lives!
My wife Alexandra and I recently moved to Italy (temporarily) and I applied for my Italian citizenship in the Venato region, one hour from the canals of Venice. After relocating to Italy, I was recognized as an Italian citizen in only 9 months.
